How Caspar Weinberg saved the world from Nuclear War in the mid 1980's
Ronald Reagan's secretary of defense was Caspar Weinberg and he was a devout Christian. In an interview on TV he stated that every time he got angry at the Russians he would think of the book of Revelation and that calmed him down! Thus WWIII did not occur. He actually did save us from having to go through Revelation 8 in the 1980's. In fact it was him and Revelation 8 that saved us from that horror.
All prophecy including Bible prophecy can be changed but it usually can only be changed by a person at or near the top. Like Caspar Weinberg.
Below is a truthful interpretation of Rev. 8. The passages from the Bible are in bold text. The original Greek word and the proper definition in ancient Greek is shown in red text. This is followed by my explanation of the passage in blue italics.
Revelation was originally written in Greek. When it was translated centuries later, first into Latin and then other languages incorrect definitions were often used in the translations.
Another problem with translating Revelation as opposed to the other books of the New Testament is that the meaning of the verse was often unclear due to it being from a vision. That made the context unclear which in turn confused the interpreters as to what definition to use.*
Revelation 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there
was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 'The
ICBM flight time from the Soviet Union to the United States is about 30 minutes'
..Gen. Kelly Burke [United States Air Force]
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth -the altar is the sun, it's fire is Nuclear Fusion. : and there were voices,-GK-phone, a tone that is created by man, not a human voice, coming from air raid sirens. and thunderings,-very loud noises and lightnings, -bright flashes of light and an earthquake - GK-Seismos-the primary definition of it is- a gust of wind. It's the blast effect of a nuclear explosion and is not the ground moving..
6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire-hail which glows because of the nuclear fallout , mingled with blood-GK-haima-literally defined as blood- however it means violent death in the same way that 'blood' means violent death this modern statement 'He was seeking revenge in the form of blood' or the term 'blood feud'. and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass-GK-chortos-annual plants including crops was burnt up. -GK-There was no punctuation at the time in Greek so the words were grouped incorrectly when they were translated from the Greek. It meant as a result of the fire of the altar (the nuclear explosions) it caused the loss of 1/3 the trees and all the worlds crops for one year. That is the same environmental effect many scientist predict nuclear war would create. So the concept of nuclear winter as well as the effects of it was brought to you in Revelation 8 almost 1900 years before recent scientists thought of it. Through the 1980's about 1/3 of the trees were in the Northern Hemisphere. A nuclear winter would freeze everything for a few weeks killing all the crops worldwide and then things would start to warm up again. The trees would not be killed except in the northern hemisphere where the freeze would continue for years. (Probably due to the triggering of an ice age.) The 2/3 of the trees that exist in tropical forests would survive. (Now with the deforestation of the tropics the ratio of trees that would die is closer to 1/2 than 1/3. This is one proof that we made it past this disaster.)
8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great-GK-mega-large, also meaning it is a one megaton nuclear explosion mountain burning with fire -the fireball of a one megaton nuke is over a mile across or the size of a mountain in the middle east. Since the 1980's ICBM's have gotten more accurate so most warheads are smaller than one megaton. This is a second partial proof that the time for this disaster has passed. I say partial because there are still quite a few megaton warheads left in the worlds arsenals. was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood -GK-haima-means violent death About 1/3 of the worlds oceans will become contaminated by radiation.
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died-And about one third of the marine life in the oceans will die due to that radiation. and the third part of the ships were destroyed-These will mainly be ships that are in ports. before container shipping started in earnest in the 90's ships spent about 1/3 their time in ports and 2/3 transporting cargo. Those 1/3 of the ships in the ports are the ones that would mainly be destroyed in a worldwide Nuclear war because all the main ports worldwide were to be nuked. Russia was going to take everybody out. Not just the U.S. and NATO countries. China, India, Nigeria and everyone else including even Bangladesh and that makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Even soused with pints of Vodka there is no possibility that Russia could think that there was any threat potential at all from Bangladesh and they have nothing that can be used to make Nukes such as Uranium mines. (Now with container shipping ships spend less than 1/10 their time in ports so only about 1/10 the ships would be destroyed if this kind of a war happened. This is pretty solid proof that the time that this was going to occur was in the past, and definitely before 1995.)
10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star-a nuke is technically a star with a very short life lasting only a second or two. The word Nuke didn't exist so they used the word star instead. from heaven-GK-ouranos-means specifically outer space aka 'the heaven's' not heaven as in 'God's home' which is a totally different word in Greek. So it's not God that sends this destruction but man, burning-GK-Kaio-is a consuming flame, not a light source as it were a lamp-GK-lampas- the primary definition is 'a torch', and it fell upon the third part of the rivers-the rivers of the Northern Hemisphere constitute about one third of the world rivers, and upon the fountains of water-GK-spege- means water sources for drinking such as municipal water supplies and rivers.
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood -GK- a better interpretation is: 'Another name for this star is the translation of the word Wormwood' (Ukrainian for wormwood is Chernobyl which is synonymous with Nuclear.) and the third part of the waters became wormwood-radioactive; and many men died of the waters-many people died as a result of drinking radioactive water, because they were made bitter-bitter meant poisonous and therefore undrinkable.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened,-Observable light would drop to about two thirds of normal. and the day shone not for a third part of it and the night likewise. There would be so much dust, smoke and debris in the sky that you would not even be able to see the sun (or stars) until about three hours after sun rise and the only stars that you could see would be the two thirds that are most directly over head.
13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabitants of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
So this possible outcome did not occur. We were spared it by Caspar Weinberg and Revelation 8. Thus it served it's purpose. Next we have Revelation 9:1-12. That is a smaller nuclear war which I have not taken the ancient Greek dictionary on yet so it is very incomplete but here are my notes on that. Please do not dismiss it because of inaccuracies and for being incomplete.
Rev 9-1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall
from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the
bottomless pit.-Again, a nuke is
technically a star with a very short life lasting milliseconds.
However, this is not a 'great star' or large nuke in the multiple
Megaton range. This corresponds to nuclear weapons becoming less
powerful as the targeting systems gain in accuracy.
Rev 9:2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
Rev 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.-They do not mean real Locust. It should probably read 'a flying plague' as these locusts get described in Rev 9:7 and are obviously either bombers or ICBM's.
Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.-These bombs do not create the huge fires of the larger warheads of Rev 8. They are smaller and perhaps mainly neutron bombs. In any case they do not cause fires or the subsequent nuclear winter leaving the annual plants as well as all plants in general intact. This is probably a smaller, regional war and not a large World War.
Rev 9:5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment [was] as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.-What a strange comparison of this affliction to scorpion stings. What would they be using this comparison for? Well it is simple. If you list all the poisons known to the ancient Hebrews and all their symptoms you will find that only the Middle Eastern Deathstalker Scorpion sting causes nearly identical symptoms to acute radiation poisoning. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness and headache are symptoms of both. A scorpion sting is the only poison that is anything like radiation poisoning. It's accuracy is a little unnerving don't you think? Also there is only one poison which will last more than a day or so. It is radiation poisoning and it will certainly last for five months. Can you see the ancients reading this and complaining that the idea of 5 months of agony is ludicrous. Are you still saying the same thing about Revelation?
Rev 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.-All you have to do is ask any cancer sufferer who has undergone a few weeks of Radiation therapy and they will tell you it is worse than death.
-The next parts are going to take some evaluation and remembering to bring them up from the bottomless pit-
Rev 9:7 And the shapes of the locusts [were] like unto
horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads [were] as it were
crowns like gold, and their faces [were] as the faces of men.
Rev 9:8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as [the teeth] of lions.
Rev 9:9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
Rev 9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months.
Rev 9:11 And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath [his] name Apollyon.-Obama?
Rev 9:12 One woe is past; [and], behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
Revelation 9 like Revelation 8 can also be avoided and 'come to pass'.
*The interpreters already knew what each teaching was about in the other books of the Bible so it was generally easy to determine which definition of the words to use when interpreting them into other languages. However for Revelation much of it including Chapter 8 are descriptions of visions which are often bizarre to begin with. Furthermore they are often descriptions of events and objects which did not exist 1900 years ago. So the accuracy of their interpretation often suffered. There was also the problem of the definitions themselves. The interpreters often just had to guess and decide on which of up to four definitions they should use. By luck of the draw they seem to have often chosen the wrong definition as the correct one. This is the main reason many of the passages of Revelation makes little or no sense to anyone.
A modern example of this problem would be the word 'bat'. If you interpret it into another language you will end up with two words, one meaning a flying mammal and the other a stick for hitting a ball. If the sentence makes it clear which definition it is (like in the rest of the Bible) then it is not a problem determining which word to use. An example would be: 'The vampire bat has sonar that is so good that it can determine the texture of fur in order to find it's victims.' We know which bat they are talking about so in the translation we don't use the word for a large stick by mistake.
However, if the sentence doesn't clarify which definition of bat they mean (like often in Revelation) then the translators will obviously often chose the wrong word. An example would be the sentence: 'The new bat was shipped in yesterday and it needs to be checked to make sure it's the right kind.'
Are we referring to someone making sure they shipped a male vampire bat (and not a female or a fruit bat) which is needed for an echo location experiment or are they referring to making sure the best Louisville Slugger baseball bat was shipped so that the star batter can hit his famous home runs?
Without knowing the context of the words you end up with a book of Revelation that makes little sense.
Another thing that people do not take into account is that the meanings of words change. Since we now have dictionaries we don't realize that the meanings of words used to change all the time. It was only the advent of the dictionary about 200 years ago which froze the meanings of nearly all words.
Compounding this is the fact that there were not any words in the ancient world for certain thing that we have today. For example to describe words in the field of Nuclear physics either a description was used, something similar which was known 1900 years ago was used instead or else a word that is synonymous was used like Wormwood for radiation or star for a nuclear explosion. Wormwood is the Ukrainian word for Chernobyl which has become synonymous with Nuclear radiation. A nuke actually fits the definition of a star if you think about it. They are both run by fusion. It only lasts a second because there is only a small amount of fuel so it stops burning after a second but it is still technically a star.
I'll give you an example from another prophet, Nostradamus. A word such as 'comet' which come's from the Greek Kometes (from Koman) which means 'to wear one's hair long' meant an object with a long tail that moved through the sky. This is the definition of a comet but it is also the definition of an ICBM. This is what Nostradamus meant when he said 'Mabus will soon die, then will come, Of people and beasts a horrible destruction. Then all too suddenly the vengeance is revealed. A hundred, hand, thirst, hunger, when the comet shall run. So all the portends of comets bringing disaster really refer to ICBM's and not what we call comets.
One example of misunderstanding is Jesus' use of the word 'pass' four times in Luke Chapter 21. One is in 36 But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Coming to pass was an idiom (or slang) meaning only that the time for it has to be gotten past. It did not mean that the horrible events have to occur. American's use similar idioms a lot. One is 'that's history' to mean simply that the time for an event has passed. An example of this would be 'that concert is history'. If interpreted it could lead someone to believe that the person actually attended a concert. 'That's happening' is another idiom having to do with time.
So when Jesus said certain events had to come to pass he did not necessarily mean they actually had to occur but that we had to get past them before the next sequence of events will occur. So these events can be prevented and do not have to occur. When the warnings are heeded such as what Casper Weinberg did and a change does occur then we have what is referred to as 'a new heaven and new earth' as in Rev 21:1.
